My mom tells us the story of Christmas past every year and it makes us feel the magic of the season every time no matter how often we hear it. My earliest memories are more modern than those perhaps but a blessing for me to treasure none the less. Thank you for sharing this!Joehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05244049379186734864noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7211432835416771321.post-41881520271789082972010-12-05T22:24:14.068-08:002010-12-05T22:24:14.068-08:00Wow John your header here is really something spec...Wow John your header here is really something special. One of my favorite memories was the 1st Christmas we spent here at the loghouse. WE had no 1st floor windows yet, only plywood floors. No Kitchen or running water and no power but an very old generator. Use only an outhouse. We had over a week of family and friends coming to stay for a few night each. The kids made those paper looped strings for the tree and stringed popcorn. The generator was turned on at night to see the Christmas lights on the tree. We went sleding every day with all the kids. Everyone was sleeping all over the place there were so many at times. This happened for the 1st 3 or 4 years. Then everyones life slowing got so busy or moved away and all the children have grown up and moved away. Our friends and my family are older and not so adventurous to travel up our road in the winter or make the long drive requied to get here. So now it mostly just hubby and I at Christmas. But I do enjoy the peace and quiet on a snow glistened day. Have a wonderul week. Hugs CarrieHere I Am Carriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00012970808535383471noreply@blogger.com
