Showtime

The end of the year means the colors of fall are bursting out.  Leaves will be filling up gutters n baskets.  Bright colors on the wall, gripping the fence, fluttering across the roads.

Soon the rods and custom cars will roll back into their cocoons for the winter.  With the fluffy white stuff on the high mountain peaks brings the gravel and salt.  The bane of the meticulous car jockey.

These show are mostly Ford and Chevy jalopies but mixed in among them are some to the beat of a different drummer.

The passion of winter, days gone by, memories relived, sock hoppin, DJ belchin, tunes palyin, it was a different time years ago.

Take a day, rewind the calendar, yearn for a simpler time when happiness was cruisin.

Reminds me of that song,"Those were the days my friend, I thought they'd never end." Nice photos of the old cars, John, and if only they could talk. Well you could imagine the stories they would tell.:)

I often think it would be far better to have a fixed up classic than one of the new ones of today but I don't see that happening anytime soon. We are having lots of change in the trees and cool nights with days being about perfect...methinks that won't continue much longer.

Beautiful photos! I hit a tractor show a while back that also had a number of classic cars, I didn't know which to look at first.

Enjoy the fall, for soon it will, and winter will breach what remains.

Never thought of classics going into cocoons for winter season. Like the idea they will burst forth in new season.

Thanks for visits.

M not sure if I return to railtime? Or if you have a new blogsite?

Anyway glad I can revisit.
