Paradise Lost

img325 (800x635)

Paradise Lost was a poem written a couple of century's ago.  Yet it is applicable today more so then ever.  Based on the Garden of Eden story, Milton writes on how this one little violation of law crumbled paradise.

When people traveled to the New World there was not any organization of law of the land.  It was do as do used to do in the old world….. maybe.  People point a religious persecution as one of the main reasons to leave home and cross the ocean.  This persecution is a very small reason for people going to the New World.  There was lots of greed and covetousness to acquire riches and live like royalty.

Parallels the story of Adam and Eve to the growth of the United States.  When the New World was discovered, there were no laws.  Adam and Eve had but one law, do eat of the fruit of the two trees.  Live and enjoy the land but the temptation of the forbidden fruit was more then they could resist.  The violation of one simple law brought banishment from paradise.  Even after they left the Garden of Eden, God’s man struggled to follow the rules of God.

In Exodus, God gives man ten simple little commandments and man still defies these rules.  So later in Exodus, God provides some more rules man on how to live with his fellow man.  Even then man struggles to live in the rules.  So some more rules are added.  The temptations are so great that many fall prey to them.  So more rules are brought forth.  Even after God finished with His commandments, the secular people added more rules.  Soon rules of life filled volumes of books.

No longer did man live in a paradise of a couple of rules.  Man was now a captive to volumes of laws.  and the slave masters had become the lawyers….. lawgivers.

Now compare the birth of the United States.  How many laws were there,  Well the first set of rules… The Articles of Confederation were scrapped and replaced The Constitution.  The Bill of Rights was added and all together they filled up maybe five pages.  These two documents have not changed, the Constitution has been amended numerous times and out of this volumes of laws have been written.  Our lives are now regulated by hundreds of thousands of laws. There are federal laws, state laws, county laws, city laws and special; district laws.  Large libraries are needed just to house all the law books.

No longer does man have a simple life of a few laws or ten commandments.  His paradise has been lost.  Well not lost but given to the lawyers.

Every time a new law is passed in the United States, some one’s freedom is diminished/restricted.

A mind set has grown that if we pass a new law, we can solve our problems.  So we go crying to law makers.

If you feel a sting in your foot, it is probably from the bullet where you shot yourself in the foot.

So how is Paradise Regained???????

Being Bashed by Gays …..

Amendment I

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

I don’t sit down and read the Constitution very often.  When I do, I sometimes wonder where some people get their ideas and notions about the document.

Right now the popular argument is about religious freedom, which is part of the First Amendment. Other freedoms are addressed in this amendment but the clause about the government and religion is what I want to focus on.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.

Read the last part of the clause, it says the government can not establish a law prohibiting the free exercise thereof.  To me it says the government can not establish a religion, of any type, nor can it prohibit one from expressing their beliefs.

Now if I refuse service to someone on my religious beliefs, am I covered by this amendment?   One would think so, yet there is a sector of the population that does not accept that.  Using the Civil Rights Acts, they are forcing these people to provide service to them.

The Civil Rights Acts were passed in the 60’s to address the situation of voting and segregation.  A law that is two parts, government and moral law.  It was passed to allow a discriminated segment of our society to have full voting privileges and access to government sponsored institutions, IE schools.  It was also used to force business to have customers they preferred not to have.  This is the morality of the law and where the law in part has been a failure.  For prejudice is still rampant in the United States.

The morality portion of the law is what is being used by the Gay community in the United States to force themselves on people who do not want to deal with them.  Using the First Amendment of the Constitution, these business owners say it violates their religious beliefs to serve and or do business with Gay people.

So the Gay people take the business owners to court and use the Civil Rights Acts as their cause to force these people to do business with them.  So far the courts have been agreeing with the Gay’s, saying they are being discriminated against.

So I reread the amendment again and to me it looks like the government is violating its own laws.  For by forcing somebody to do business with some one they oppose on religious beliefs could be construed as a law against religious freedom.  Counter to the First Amendment of freedom of speech and religion.

For a different situation.

You have a car for sale, I stop by to look at it.  I am wearing a very flashy shirt with the marks of satan all over it.  I offer to buy your car at your price.  You decide not to sell it to me.  Saying on religious beliefs you do not deal with Satan.  I offer you more money, you decline, I leave.

I go to court next day and file a lawsuit against you, saying you discriminated against me, I invoke the Civil Rights Acts.  I want the court to force you to do business with me.

Is it really a different situation?  Has the Civil rights Act been abused?  Has the courts abused their power?

The dying Worker

IF YOU HAD A HUNCH THE NEWS SYSTEM WAS SOMEWHAT RIGGED AND YOU COULDN'T PUT YOUR FINGER ON IT, THIS MIGHT HELP YOU SOLVE THE PUZZLE.

ABC News executive producer Ian Cameron is married to Susan Rice, National Security Adviser.

CBS President David Rhodes is the brother of Ben Rhodes, Obama’s Deputy National Security Adviser for Strategic Communications.

ABC News correspondent Claire Shipman is married to former White house Press Secretary Jay Carney

ABC News and Univision reporter Matthew Jaffe is married to Katie Hogan, Obama’s Deputy Press Secretary

ABC President Ben Sherwood is the brother of Obama’s Special Adviser Elizabeth Sherwood

CNN President Virginia Moseley is married to former Hillary Clinton’s Deputy Secretary Tom Nides.

And now you know why it is no surprise the media usually goes very easy on Obama's many errors.

Ya think there might be a little bias in the news?

*************************

There are things that show up in the inbox that pique the interest.  This is one of those e-mails, not so much what it is, is obvious but what the undercurrent is.  This is probably one of the best examples of how Republicans shoot themselves in the foot.

Years ago, there was a limit on the number of media outlets a person/corporation could own.  There was competition amongst the media for stories and they did a decent job of riding herd on the government.  Investigative journalism was invested in by the large metro media outlets.  Not the consumer hidden camera crass sensationalism of today.  Because of this competition, reporting was fairly neutral.

Then the rules were dropped for how many and what type of media outlets a company could own.  Thanks to the Republicans, media consolidation was underway.  The aggressive companies with a good cash flow began consuming all types of news outlets.  Today there are very few independent news out lets in the metropolitan metro-plexes.

Years ago these giant outlets in the big cities back east were referred to as, Yellow Journalists, because of the slant they put on their political stories.  By today’s stories sounds pretty familiar.

Look at the e-mail, it is a Republican style of whine about something they created.  If the conservatives would of left the rules alone rather than having a lazziez faire attitude, there would of not been a consolidation of media out lets.   Bang, one bullet into the foot.

The Democrats bemoan the consolidation of wealth under capitalism.  In this letter one can vividly see what the dems are referring to.  When the regulations were changed the rules of acquisition changed and the capital was consolidated into the hands of a few.  In this case it was liberals that were the big beneficiaries of capitalism.  The very thing the Democrats whine about was a benefit to their cause.  It is this wealth consolidation that the Democrats use in their spiel for wealth redistribution and more taxes to reduce the wealth of the few.

The Republican attitude of less regulation is an oxymoron.  When regulations are removed to allow companies to acquire a group multiple companies, it creates a large communal environment, for the employee and employer.  Jobs are reduced to provide more benefits/pay for all.  Corporate bonuses become bigger, employee benefit programs are expanded as jobs are lost.

A good example of that is the pharmaceutical merger that Bush allowed his last year in the White House.  The economy was going downhill, yet Bush signed off on the merger.  5000 jobs went in the tank immediately and later more jobs were lost.

Look back over history of the mergers of the big corporations.  New jobs were not created, instead jobs were eliminated.  The food industry is controlled by about 10 major corporations.  As these giant holding companies bought up more companies, more jobs were lost.  Now the capital of the food industry is controlled by just a few corporations.  They have basically become shot callers.

Again there were rules in place so companies could not acquire other companies in a different business but related.  There were anti monopoly laws, fair trade rules…. Etc.  The Republicans allowed these rules to be altered and competition was reduced.  Bang another republican bullet in the foot.

Ronald Regan, the conservative icon, probably launched the deadliest bullet, when the banking rules were changed under his administration.  Many small banks were swallowed up into mega banks and others disappeared in the paperwork of mega mergers. The small banks that will do business with small business are few and far between.  Today they want big companies for the big loans, the high cash float and major investments.

With mergers, jobs by the score were lost and the small person became not much more than a number.  No longer can the average person walk into a bank a see the president.  It is now a branch manager or something similar.

How often can one walk into a store and know the owner, how often is the store owner on the premises.

So the next time I hear a conservative whining about the media, I tell them to go look in the mirror for the problem.

Even the Democrat can profit off of competition but the republicans’ have a hard time grasping that.

Now look at the giants of corporations, they have employees to create wealth for themselves, very little trickles down to the man on the street.  As there is more and more consolidation, there is more and more a growing class of corporate royalty.  The very thing the Democrats harp about, the Republicans help to create, a peasant class for the royalty of corporate power.

Odd as it sounds, when a politician goes to Washington DC, they in a sense become a prostitute to the big corps, for who finances their campaigns.

Politics… A part of Americana

Politics, impacts most every part of our lives.  All the laws we live under, were passed by a politician.  Whether it be the level of hometown to the state, even the county, oh forget about big brother, he is becoming a nuisance.

Every time a law is passed, a bit of freedom is lost. Well that ‘s what laws do, takes our choices away.  You can be left wing or right wing, if you want to pass a law, you want to control somebody(s) behavior.

So what do we do.  We go crying to government to solve our problems, take care of us.  And, big brother does by passing laws to impact lives of a few people.

Then look at the attacks that involved in political in fighting.  When someone attacks another, they usually trying to deflect, avoid the reality of the other side.  It is a common tactic used by criminals for years and some political types have been very adept in adopting criminal tactics.

DSCN5605 (800x600)

When I travel through small towns, I try to visit some of their museums and displays.  It is these little stops that made me think how much the political process affects our lives.  Most of these little places get tax money in some form or other.  So favor with the politicians is curried.  For the hand outs are wanted for these things.  Which I have no problem with.  For they collect things that will be forgotten over the generations, if it were not for things like these.

What bothers me is how people then look the other way when the tax money is wasted or spent for cronyism, which these sometimes fall into that trap.

Yet look at all of the decisions we make every day that are based on political laws.  The most oblivious ones are the traffic laws.  We make 100’s of decisions on these laws, walking or driving.  Look closely at them, see how they are designed to control behavior, yet all the really do is provide consequences.  Who really control behavior.  Then… ponder the seatbelt law.

White House Abuser

Politics, living in a fish bowl.  The magnifying glass of the press reveals defects of politicians.  Being the chief executive officer of the United States really amplifies the flaws.

Obama has been under the glass for so long it is wild, yet his flaws are minuscule, except for those who look closely.  His latest speech revealed how messed up he really is.  His concern for the people of the country is non-existent.  I read one commenter, that the President appear4ed to be high on drugs as he was making his speech…… interesting.

Yet look at his choice of words for the opposing party.  It is very abusive and bullying.  Then bullies are also abusers, just that when they get older they are no longer called bullies.  Look at how Obama has used his office to abuse the laws of the land, circumventing laws as he chooses.

Yet if the President is willing to abuse the laws of the land what else is willing to abuse.  How he abuses those who oppose him is obvious but look at his family…. are they also abused.

When a person abuses something, the abuse is usually not limited to one thing being abused.  Look at the drug abuser, they don’t just abuse drugs, there is their family, alcohol and domestic violence.  Their surroundings also shows abuse, a cluttered and damaged surroundings.

So as I watch the President abuse the opposing party and the laws of the land, I wonder how abusive he is towards his family.

Arrogant people see no flaws in themselves….. they see themselves as being perfect.  So when problems are brought to their attention, they are ignored.  One of the nastiest abuses this type of person inflicts, is mental abuse.

Have some friends that are counselors, mostly drug and alcohol and some domestic abuse counseling.  They note it takes 8 battering's of a spouse in domestic violence before they come to the reality that the spouse will continue to abuse them, unless something is changed.  It is usually a separation that leads to a divorce.

As I look at the supporters of the president I see the same pattern of behavior.  They deny any such behavior and continue to be abused.  This is very visible, what is not so visible is the domestic life of the President.  Yet it is a fairly safe assumption, that if he abuses other people and pays no attention to laws, he will treat his family in the same way.

Now how does one divorce a President.  Ask Hillary?  Her husband was very abusive in his sexual encounters.  Bill showed no concern for his wife.  Yet Hillary did not ask for a divorce.

So many people accept abuse as a way of life any more.

The stupid President and his Democrats

It is amazing how some people grab on to things, just like  bull dog.  Even if it is not working, they cling to a false hope, and illusion that it will work.  One of the biggest problems of arrogance is they will not admit they are wrong.  They have such a denial level.

The health care act is not working and in lots of areas it is an abject failure.  Yet the Democrats cling to it.  They say it will get better.  Some one needs to invoke the Lemon Law on the Democrats.   For the ACA is one of the biggest failures ever perpetuated  on the American people.    Yet getting the little arrogant bastards to admit things are not working………………………

Look back over history, any problems in the country have come from poor politics.  Our recessions have been the result of government policy in regards to financial institutions.  Our wars, from poor politics.  The Civil War is the best example of that.

What is it going to take to get the Democrats to admit things are not working and scrap things.

DSCN5324

Do the Democrats want control so bad, they would destroy the country.  It appears they have become so hateful, that they don’t care but to be like dictators.

What’s maddening is the Republicans are so undermanned and gutless that the Democrats are running the country like Autocrats.  They show no regard for the people they are harming.  When it is the government that is causing harm to its population there will be a backlash.

White House …… Slaver….

Dr. Ben Carson said that the Obamacare was the worst thing since slavery.  He is so correct in his assessment, it is scary.   Slavery is a form of control over another or something.

Supposedly the Civil War ended slavery, but slavery can take many forms.  When one is controlled by someone or something, it is a type of slavery.  One of the things that separates out absolute slavery from the other forms is the ability to opt out this lifestyle without a penalty of any kind.

Examples are work, we are controlled by our supervisors/owners, if we are an employee.  Yet at any time one can leave that job without any type of penalty.  Bosses may get upset and make all kinds of remarks but that is it, I can walk away.

What happens when I refuse the government health care,….. I am penalized, by what is called a tax.  If I refuse to pay that tax….. what happens…. all the powers of the Federal government comes to full force on me.

Now a slave in the 17-1800’s etc, would suffer some severe consequences also, whippings, beatings to being killed.  Look at the parallels of being a slave, prior to the Civil War and what is happening today.  Like it or not, we hostage to the government, if we don’t pay our taxes, we are looking at prison time.   Pretty nasty way to treat the people they are supposed to be helping.

Yes master will soon become a byword in society and who will be the masters?

Look what happened to the reporter that was writing a story about Homeland Security.  Her house was ransacked and her notes pertaining to the story were confiscated.  How the government has been treating its people lately is pretty damm scary.

Yet as a society we have given up so many freedoms to government laws.  No longer can one be independent, there are so many government rules to follow and like sheep, most to just roll along to a country of slaves to its government.

Want to be strong and powerful,  Go become a politician and get elected president, You can rule with an iron fist over a flock of meek sheep.
