White House Abuser

Politics, living in a fish bowl.  The magnifying glass of the press reveals defects of politicians.  Being the chief executive officer of the United States really amplifies the flaws.

Obama has been under the glass for so long it is wild, yet his flaws are minuscule, except for those who look closely.  His latest speech revealed how messed up he really is.  His concern for the people of the country is non-existent.  I read one commenter, that the President appear4ed to be high on drugs as he was making his speech…… interesting.

Yet look at his choice of words for the opposing party.  It is very abusive and bullying.  Then bullies are also abusers, just that when they get older they are no longer called bullies.  Look at how Obama has used his office to abuse the laws of the land, circumventing laws as he chooses.

Yet if the President is willing to abuse the laws of the land what else is willing to abuse.  How he abuses those who oppose him is obvious but look at his family…. are they also abused.

When a person abuses something, the abuse is usually not limited to one thing being abused.  Look at the drug abuser, they don’t just abuse drugs, there is their family, alcohol and domestic violence.  Their surroundings also shows abuse, a cluttered and damaged surroundings.

So as I watch the President abuse the opposing party and the laws of the land, I wonder how abusive he is towards his family.

Arrogant people see no flaws in themselves….. they see themselves as being perfect.  So when problems are brought to their attention, they are ignored.  One of the nastiest abuses this type of person inflicts, is mental abuse.

Have some friends that are counselors, mostly drug and alcohol and some domestic abuse counseling.  They note it takes 8 battering's of a spouse in domestic violence before they come to the reality that the spouse will continue to abuse them, unless something is changed.  It is usually a separation that leads to a divorce.

As I look at the supporters of the president I see the same pattern of behavior.  They deny any such behavior and continue to be abused.  This is very visible, what is not so visible is the domestic life of the President.  Yet it is a fairly safe assumption, that if he abuses other people and pays no attention to laws, he will treat his family in the same way.

Now how does one divorce a President.  Ask Hillary?  Her husband was very abusive in his sexual encounters.  Bill showed no concern for his wife.  Yet Hillary did not ask for a divorce.

So many people accept abuse as a way of life any more.

Dog Days of Summer

In the frozen embrace of winter, a taste of heat is yearned for.  To release the icy grip, give a brief respite from the ice cubes.

Forgotten is the searing heat of summer, when ice cubes were sought out.  Looking for a cooling breeze.  Gazing at the horizon for a refreshing shower.

To be satisfied is but a relapse of complaint, echoing over the tables barren of ears.

To be content is but a state, one the mind embraces but on occasion.  Drift over time, was there confusion, hope, lost or direction.  Searching, looking, drifting, tumbling, the unsatisfied man roams looking….. for what?

There is a peace like a river that flows through, grasp your share, embrace it, massage it for with it life can not be de railed.  The complainer is missing the river of peace.

The path of choice…….?

Evening Visitors

The past couple of weeks the neighbors have been visiting and munching down the weeds and grass.  A small herd of deer roams the area and lately they have taken up evening residence next door or across the road.  They browse across the highway and over the empty field along the road.

I get up to go to the other room and looking out the window there they are.  They see me, ears perk and eyes focus on me through the window.  20-50 feet away they stand peering at the human in the window.  I stare back at them, tap on the window, ears twitch.  Soon they are back to grazing.

The fields here get no attention through the summer and grow wild, making for some nice grass and weeds for the deer to munch on.  The buck usually stays pretty low key yet he attracts lots of attention for the trophy hunters. They roar the streets of town, generally unbothered.  Loose dogs are dealt with promptly.

To the south is a ranch and the rancher brings his cattle in for the winter.  The hay put out for the cattle attracts the deer as well as the cows.

The winter the roads and streets of the town are their home.  There are shelter spots they can bed down in and have good browse near by.

In the summer they wander the woods of the creek.  The creek is also their water.  Not sure how big of range they cover but would guess it is over 5 square miles.

They are fun to watch at night and the next morning there are their hoof prints in front of the house and they leave bit of fertilizer behind.   Only problem is, they do much on my trees so I have to put a fence around the smaller trees.  Otherwise I just watch and occasionally take the camera out.

Year Begins

The winter solstice has passed, the materialistic frenzy of Christmas is gone and the drunken orgy of the New Year is past.  Presents, fireworks and decorations, retuned to boxes, stored in an out of the way corner closet.  Rituals of the end of the year will soon fade into dim memory.  The new baby of the year will age.  New headstones will grace the grave yard.  Time marches at its pace.

Into the future life moves, ever relentless in its forward pace.

November begins the decline into darkness, sun settles southward, darkness creeps into the day.  A time of year when depressions roams the land, looking for a place to settle.  Festivals roll out creating a festive mood, one of giving thanks.  Decorations are placed and brighten the spirit.   Into December depression travels looking for a home.  Colorful lights are set on shelves and windows, Old Man Gloom is held at bay with the colorful lights.  The glee of the upcoming season is shouted over the land.  The is hope in the air as depression stands near by looking for an opening.

A creeping crud that battles with the senses.  A façade put forth to cope with the ugly side of the season.  Then it is over.  Looking back, what happened?  Where has the mood gone?

With the beginning of January, the sun begins its journey back north.  The light returns, the warmth embraces once again.  Penetrating the bitterness of the icy storms.   A joy of hope and optimism  grow.  Old man glows in the fireplace.  A new season sits on the corner awaiting our arrival.

Today the snow hustles across the horizon, catching on the grasses and weeds.   Making a gossamer white blanket.  Bitterness rides the wind, frosting the windows, a fairy dances over the land.

A day of quiet introspection, remember the past, look to the future and live the day.  Pages of years, stand in volumes, pages ever passing.  Snowflakes dance past the window, gracefully landing on the ever growing blanket.

Happy New Year

To all I wish a prosperous, blessed and happy new year.  May the God of Peace be your companion in the upcoming weeks.

The past year has been one of turmoil yet it has been pretty placid.  Tensions in the fabric have increased yet life moves along.

I don’t do resolutions but I do, do a few goals.  Things I want to accomplish in the future.  I don’t make so many or set them so high they are beyond reach.  I have a few goals I want on a daily basis.  Through the years they pretty much been there accomplished in my daily life.  There is always my daily walk with God and giving thanks for Christ. Then to love my fellow man, even the enemy.

I wrote a couple of small books this past year and they were mildly successful on a local level.  I am in the process of writing another one and hope to have it ready by the end of the month.  I do self publishing, so I get to do all the layout and design work plus proofing.  It’s a time consuming process but the after moments are worth it.  It could be an ego trip, when I get compliments.

I will continue to to some photography and hopefully that will improve some as it has each year.  Someday I may collect a bunch of photos and make a type of coffee table book.  That is a bit of a dream.

The new year rolls out and I am but a passenger on a trip.  I can voice my opinion and see what happens yet the trip moves forth.  There are many things that happen I have no control over, so I voice my displeasure.

One of the reasons I don’t like resolutions for there are so many outside influences and they set one up for failure.  Which quite often leads to depression.

Into the new year I venture forth, no great expectations.

Ya’ll have a great year.
